Dr. Volkert earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and served his internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, Milwaukee. He then served a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Wisconsin Medical School-Milwaukee Clinical Campus. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with Certificates of Added Qualifications in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
